1. Definition of Personal Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. recognizes personal information as information about a living individual as defined by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, including name, date of birth, and other information that can identify a specific individual. It also includes information used in connection with a specific individual, such as email addresses, user IDs, passwords, credit card information, as well as attribute information related to an individual, such as hobbies, family structure, age, and other personal characteristics, when combined with personal information.
2. Cookies and IP Address Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. does not consider cookies and IP address information to be personal information by themselves, as they cannot identify a specific individual on their own. However, if such information is used in combination with personal information, it will be regarded as personal information. Even if cookies and IP address information cannot identify a specific individual, we will disclose the purposes and methods of use when using such information on media operated by Sketch Co., Ltd. Cookies can be refused through browser settings. If refusing cookies prevents the use of certain services, we will disclose this fact.
3. Specification of Purpose of Use
When handling personal information, Sketch Co., Ltd. will specify the purpose of use as much as possible.
4. Limitation on Use of Personal Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. will not handle personal information beyond the scope necessary to achieve the specified purpose of use without obtaining prior consent from the individual concerned. This applies even when personal information is acquired through mergers or other reasons. However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:

Sketch Co., Ltd. will acquire personal information properly and not through deception or other wrongful means. We are also careful not to collect information from children under the age of 15 without parental consent.
6. Notification of Purpose of Use upon Acquisition of Personal Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. will publicly announce the purpose of use in advance when acquiring personal information. However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:
(1) When notifying or publicly announcing the purpose of use may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party.
(2) When notifying or publicly announcing the purpose of use may harm the rights or legitimate interests of Sketch Co., Ltd.

7. Changes in Purpose of Use
If Sketch Co., Ltd. changes the purpose of use of personal information, such changes will not exceed the scope reasonably related to the original purpose, and the individual will be notified or the change will be publicly announced.
8. Security Management of Personal Information / Supervision of Employees
Sketch Co., Ltd. will take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and to ensure its safe management, including establishing basic information security policies, forming an information security committee, and supervising employees appropriately.
9. Supervision of Contractors
If Sketch Co., Ltd. entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a contractor, it will enter into a confidentiality agreement or require agreement to terms specified by Sketch Co., Ltd., and provide necessary and appropriate supervision to ensure safe management of the personal information.
10. Restrictions on Provision to Third Parties
Sketch Co., Ltd. will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent of the individual, except in the following cases:
(1) When required by law.
(2) When it is necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent.
(3) When it is particularly necessary to improve public health or promote the sound growth of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent.
(4) When cooperation is required for a national or local government organization performing duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent would impede those duties.
(5) When the following items have been announced in advance:
- That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties.
- The items of data provided to third parties.
- The means or method of provision to third parties.
- That provision to third parties will be stopped upon the individual’s request.
11. Publication of Matters Related to Personal Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. will make the following matters known to individuals and will respond promptly upon request:
(1) Purpose of use of personal information (except where not required by law).
(2) Contact point for inquiries regarding personal information.
12. Disclosure of Personal Information
Sketch Co., Ltd. will disclose personal information to the individual upon request, unless disclosure would:
(1) Harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party.
(2) Significantly impede the proper execution of the business of Sketch Co., Ltd.
(3) Violate other laws or regulations.
13. Correction of Personal Information
If an individual requests correction, addition, or deletion of their personal information on the grounds that it is not true, Sketch Co., Ltd. will conduct necessary investigations without delay and make corrections as necessary within the scope required to achieve the purpose of use, and notify the individual.
14. Suspension of Use of Personal Information
If an individual requests suspension of use or deletion of their personal information on the grounds that it is being handled beyond the scope of the publicly announced purpose of use or has been acquired by wrongful means, Sketch Co., Ltd. will conduct necessary investigations without delay and suspend use or delete the information as appropriate, and notify the individual.
15. Explanation of Reasons
If Sketch Co., Ltd. decides not to notify the purpose of use, not to disclose, not to suspend use, or not to stop providing personal information to a third party despite a request from the individual, it will endeavor to explain the reason when notifying the individual of such decision.
